IFT aims to bring together employers, students and educators to encourage young people to pursue a career in the sector.
Inspiring Future Talent for Built Environment (IFT.BE) is an interactive, exciting and innovative approach to careers engagement.
We are launching IFT.BE in education with two residing themes: ‘New & Emerging Technology’ and ‘Sustainability in Construction’.
We are ‘gamifying’ careers engagement!
IFT.BE is a programme of 3 x 20 minute cutting-edge interactive videos, showcasing the future of our industry, to attract the best future talent and to create a desire with the next generation to choose a career in our sector, with each video providing a unique viewing experience, enabling every student to feel truly engaged.
This innovative and impactful video interaction (used individually or in classroom groups) will inform students about technology and sustainability, the variety of careers available; and of the future skills demands in Construction and the wider Built Environment.
With STEAM at the forefront, IFT.BE meets Gatsby benchmarks, highlights social mobility (a route to industry for all, from apprenticeship to degree) as well as diversity and inclusion in the sector.
Active engagement: young people will navigate their own journey through the film, making ‘click’ decisions that will direct them (or classroom group) through the main content and towards what interests them most. They will receive key information along the way on skills and qualifications, including the launch of the new T-Levels; and personal and professional development.
IFT is currently under construction. Please check back in late 2020 for more details.
